Introducing
Alessio is a principal costume cutter and maker in the film and TV industry. She works closely with the industry's leading Academy Award winning costume designers and a very small team to create the finest quality bespoke costumes.
Alessio's recent work includes head cutting on the Warner Bros. movie Barbie, the Netflix costume Emmy award winning Wednesday (Seasons 1 & 2), and she was a principal cutter on Disney's The Little Mermaid. You can see a full list of Alessio's credits on her Internet Movie Database (IMDb) page HERE
From a very young age, Alessio was taught to hand sew by her grandmother, Helen. She developed a passion for making clothes and, following a University of The Arts Foundation Diploma at London College of Fashion, she went on to achieve a First Class Honours BA in Theatre and Screen: Costume Interpretation. She has spent time working in Haute Couture ateliers and has been fortunate to work for Mr Pearl, considered the most renowned corsetier in the world.

Some of Alessio’s work for Wednesday Season 1 is currently on display at The World of Tim Burton Exhibition at The Design Museum, which runs until 26 May 2025.
